Project Delivery Expert
The role of a Construction Manager involves overseeing the execution of capital construction projects, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. Key responsibilities include:
* Front End Loading - Utilize existing practices while focusing on key elements that drive best results.
* Vendor Qualification - Collaborate with Project Leaders, CCFS, EHS, and Construction Safety to select suitable external partners for construction in various regions.
* Policies & Procedures - Understand, deploy, and enhance policies related to FEL, vendor selection, construction labor, safety, constructability, quality construction, and on-time performance, ensuring compliance with global and local laws.
* Goals and Reporting - Track goals and targets for Construction Management deployment, including reporting frequency and KPIs.
* Reviews & Assessments - Regularly conduct assessments and reviews with the Project Team, discussing positive observations, areas for improvement, and developing action plans.
* Safety and Efficiency - Demonstrate a proven track record of safe and efficient project delivery, along with excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Continuous Improvement - Ensure Construction Management records and leverages lessons learned and key findings adoption.
Qualifications
* A University/Bachelor's or equivalent degree is required. A Science, Engineering, Architecture, or related Construction Management field/degree is highly desirable.
* A minimum of eight to ten (8-10) years of related work experience.
* Progressive experience in Construction Management.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience identifying, mitigating, and controlling risks in capital construction projects, including contract understanding and enforcement.
* Interactions with construction labor force and related field activities in enforcing contract terms and conditions.
* Construction safety and sub-contractor responsibilities to handle risk, drive cost, schedule, quality, and safety expectations.
