YOUR ROLEAs a Material Controller you will be the backbone of Air Belgium's aircraft parts operations, ensuring the right parts are in the right place at the right time, protecting the company's interests across procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier relationships.WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?Provisioning & Inventory Coordinate material supply with contracted pool and maintenance providersPrioritise cost-effective sourcing for urgent AOG and Critical A ordersMonitor parts loans and consignment stock to minimise rental costsManage inventory counts and liaise with finance on related invoicingMaintain and position Fly Away Kits across the networkWarranty & ComplianceEnsure warranty cases are processed efficiently by maintenance and pool providersRecord standard differences between delivered and returned partsApprove or reject requests to upgrade pool parts standardsVerify and contest abnormal wear and tear charges where appropriateProcurement & ProjectsEvaluate material proposals from brokers and uncontracted providersCoordinate materials for Base Maintenance checks, including prep and shipmentManage the sale of surplus materials to maximise company valueSource specialised materials for ad hoc projects as requiredLogistics, Quality & FinanceOptimise the cost-vs-service balance in material transportResolve discrepancies with suppliers and partners to maintain smooth operationsIdentify deficiencies and drive corrective actions to improve qualityMonitor KPIs including fleet dispatch reliability and supplier performanceMaintain accurate financial records including invoices and receiptsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Secondary school qualification, technical orientation preferredBackground in aviation is essentialEASA Part 145 environment experience is a plusComponent acceptance experience is an advantageFluent English (written and spoken); French or Dutch is a plusStrong organisational skills with a structured, detail-oriented approachConfident working independently and making decisions under pressureExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong teamwork ethic and collaborative mindsetProficient in MS Office; comfortable in a professional office environmentWilling and able to work in shifts
