Agfa HealthCare is looking for a dynamic and driven Software Development Team Lead / Scrum Master to join our R&D team in Ghent. In this hybrid leadership role, you'll lead a multidisciplinary development team, drive agile practices, and help shape the future of medical imaging software that makes a real difference in global healthcare.
As a Development Team Lead / Scrum Master, you will:
1. Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of experienced software engineers through the full development lifecycle—from concept and prototyping to delivery and maintenance.
2. Scrum Facilitation: Plan and lead agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, demos, product refinement and retrospectives.
3. Support Agile Excellence: Act as a coach and facilitator to promote agile values, continuous improvement, and team self-management.
4. Deliver Results: Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of software features and enhancements in collaboration with the Product Owner and stakeholders.
5. Remove Obstacles: Identify and eliminate impediments to keep the team focused and productive.
6. Foster Growth: Set goals, evaluate performance, and support career development for your team members.
7. Promote Transparency: Act as an information radiator, providing visibility into progress, risks, and metrics.
8. Drive Innovation: Champion new ideas, processes, and technologies to enhance team output and software quality.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
* 3+ years of experience leading software development teams in an agile environment.
* 3+ years of Scrum Master experience in multidisciplinary teams.
* Solid technical background with hands-on experience in Java, Angular
* Experience with agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, Eclipse.
* Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and coaching skills.
* Ability to manage change constructively and promote a culture of learning and adaptability.

Nice to Have
9. Experience with medical software or regulated environments.
10. Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
