Purpose of the Job
Purpose of the function is to carry out the test and commissioning of On Board (Trainborne) signaling systems in accordance with the procedure and documents.

Mission
Objectives
Key accountabilities:
Preparation Phase:
1. Secure the logistic conditions of the mission (technical documents, tools, vehicle and availability of the material).
2. Have a very good knowledge of all tests described on the procedure, schematics and technical documents.
3. Check that the testing tools (tester, multi-meter, oscilloscope, measuring instrument, …) are in perfect working order and calibrated.
Before starting the T&C activities:
4. In agreement with the site manager, make sure that safety rules for working are met.
5. If necessary, supervise the installation work and coordinate activities while ensuring compliance with installation and safety instructions.
Execution Phase:
6. Carry out tests in accordance with the procedures.
7. In the event of a problem, the PrFOM is informed and decides for further actions
8. Replace the defective equipment and ensure it’s replaced in accordance with Alstom processes (right software and hardware version), recommissioning of the new part.
9. In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning, make a return of experience feedback (REX) towards the PrFOM, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context
10. Follow-up of any non-compliance until the point is fully closed.
11. Perform all activities mentioned above in QCD (Quality Cost Delay) and therefore have always in mind respect of the budget and find solutions to decrease time of activities.
Outputs:
12. Perform the reporting of all activities.
13. Establish and classify a commissioning or intervention report including evidences and punch list which is validated by the PrFOM.
Performance Measurements:
14. Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C tests
15. Compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards
16. Quality of anticipation, monitoring and reporting
17. Communication to customer or operator representatives
Candidate Requirements
Educational Requirements
18. Technical bachelor's degree in electronics or electricity or equivalent experience in a function in the industrial environment
19. Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken)
Desired Knowledge / Experience
20. Previous Engineering, V&V, T&C or Maintenance for Railway Signaling is an asset.
21. Knowledge of applied electronics
22. Knowledge of railway signaling products (wired cabinets, rack)
23. Knowledge of standards concerning electrical and mechanical assemblies
