Purpose of the role
To strengthen our Finance team in Belgium, we are looking for an accountant who will be responsible for monthly closing and verifying the financial transactions for one or more Ravago entities.
With your analytical skills and good knowledge of accounting principles, you will be able to prepare financial reports and forecasts.
Opportunity
* Produce error-free accounting reports for one or more Ravago entities;
* Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule;
* Support during internal and external audits to ensure compliance;
* Perform the monthly and annual closing of our Belgian companies, which are active in distribution, manufacturing, and services industries;
* Prepare income tax and VAT returns;
* Build a network with other internal departments, and connect with colleagues worldwide;
* Assisting senior accounting and the accounting manager in ad-hoc questions
* Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Background
* Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Master Degree within Finance;
* First experience in an accounting role is a plus, not a must;
* Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures;
* good knowledge of excel;
* Excellent analytical skills and well organised and punctual;
* Good communication skills and enjoying personal contacts;
* Fluent knowledge of English and Dutch is required, both verbal and written.
