For a leading international manufacturing organization, we are looking for a Senior Plant Director who will take full operational and strategic responsibility for a large production site.
The Role
As Plant Director, you are the most senior leader on site, with full P&L, operational, and strategic accountability. Your primary mission is to deliver a sustainable turnaround, restoring core performance levels while building a future-proof manufacturing platform.
You will define and execute a strategic roadmap that positions the site as a benchmark for operational excellence.
You will be a key driver of a cultural transformation, fostering ownership, decision-making, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Full accountability for site performance, financial results, and operational excellence
* Delivering significant and sustainable improvements across all key KPIs (productivity, cost, waste, safety)
* Leading, coaching, and developing the site leadership team with a strong focus on ownership and performance
* Acting as the primary driver of change management and large-scale transformation initiatives
* Shifting the organization to a strategic, forward-looking mindset
* Building and maintaining constructive relationships with unions and other social partners
* Making decisive, data-driven decisions to close performance gaps and unlock opportunities
* Ensuring high standards in safety, quality, and operational discipline
Your Profile
* Master’s degree
* Extensive experience as a Plant Director or in a comparable senior manufacturing leadership role
* Proven track record in leading successful turnarounds in complex operational environments
* Demonstrated experience with large-scale change management and cultural transformation
* Exceptional people leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, develop, and make tough decisions
* Highly results-driven, proactive, and accountable leadership style
* Strong business and financial acumen
* Experience managing social relations within a European industrial context
* Resilient, entrepreneurial leader motivated by challenge and complexity
* Strategic thinker with strong execution capability
* Fluency in English and French is required
