Context of the mission/Objective(s) of the job:
As an SAP BW/BW4 Migration Analyst within the Data & Analytics team at NMBS, you are responsible for
analyzing, optimizing, migrating, and supporting reporting solutions for various departments and staff services
(including Customer Services, Technics, HR, Finance, Strategy & Legal, Internal Audit, and IT).
You will take on a combined coordinating role as Application Owner, Product Owner, and Functional
Analyst.
Responsibilities.
- Map out and document reporting and dashboard requirements.
- Analyze the current (AS-IS) reporting landscape and translate it into a future-oriented solution architecture (SAP BW4, Azure Synapse/Databricks, Datasphere, Power BI).
- Actively contribute to migration planning and act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between Business and IT.
- Regularly consult with stakeholders from various departments.
- Think transversally about business processes and maintain an overview to design end-to-end solutions.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Validate reports and dashboards developed by internal or external developers.
- Document and maintain all solutions up to date.
- Lead a team of developers (onshore/offshore) during migration projects and contribute directly to execution where necessary.
- Coordinate with Enterprise, System, and Solution Architects to ensure consistency within the overall architecture.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of test scenarios, functional testing, and data cleaning.
- Manage roadmaps and act as the main point of contact for the applications, reports, and dashboards under your responsibility.
