We normally take very different types of venues (from decommissioned churches to warehouses, historical buildings, and retail spaces) and transform them into the spaces where the magic happens. We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Venues Acquisition Manager to lead the identification, negotiation, and management of these premier exhibition spaces.
Job Summary:The Venues Acquisition Manager will be responsible for sourcing and securing the best venues in Europe for our exhibitions and events. This role requires extensive market research, negotiation skills, and a keen understanding of logistics, budgeting, and event planning. The ideal candidate will have strong industry connections and the ability to assess venue suitability based on event requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Research and identify, on your own and through Real Estate agencies, potential venues for our exhibitions and experiences based on event size, target audience, and logistical needs.Conduct site visits and evaluate venues based on accessibility, infrastructure requirements, capacity, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.Negotiate contracts and agreements with venue owners and suppliers to secure the best terms.Collaborate with the production and marketing teams to ensure venue suitability.Build and maintain strong relationships with venue representatives and industry / contacts.Stay updated on emerging venue trends, competitor activities, and new venue openings.Oversee venue-related risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety, and accessibility regulations.Troubleshoot and resolve venue-related challenges to ensure smooth event execution.
Qualifications & Skills:Technical and Production background.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in venue sourcing, production, or related roles in the touring exhibition or other touring events industry.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.Ability to travel as needed to conduct site visits and attend industry events.Strong communication and presentation skills.Excellent command of English and French, any additional language is an asset
