Company Context
We are a major player in the utilities sector in Belgium, operating a complex HR landscape that supports approximately 10,000 employees across a dozen company codes and joint committees
. Our SAP HR system supports mainly Master Data, Time Management, and Payroll functionalities. We are initiating a strategic project aimed at centralizing and harmonizing time registration and time evaluation processes across the different legal entities. To support this initiative, we are looking for a seasoned SAP HR Consultant / Project Manager to take on a Functional/Technical Lead role within the project.
Role Overview
We are seeking a freelance SAP HR professional who combines deep HR domain expertise with strong project management and leadership capabilities. You will work closely with the overall project manager and be responsible for driving the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the overall project manager with project scoping, planning, and supplier selection.
• Provide day-to-day project follow-up and coordination of tasks and milestones.
• Act as Functional/Technical Lead, guiding internal and external team members in their activities.
• Ensure proper design and harmonization of time recording and evaluation solutions in SAP HR.
• Coordinate and support test planning, test execution, and issue resolution.
• Manage and coordinate cutover activities and readiness for go-live.
• Engage with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and constraints.
• Proactively identify risks and dependencies and drive mitigations.
• Contribute to a hands-on, pragmatic, and result-driven project culture Required Qualifications.
• 10+ years of experience in HR domains, including a strong understanding of business processes.
• Demonstrated experience with HR IT projects in roles such as functional/technical analyst or project manager.
• Solid familiarity with SAP HR, specifically in Time Management and Payroll.
• Experience with time recording systems.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to guide cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record in complex project environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a must.
