Thule NV As a member of the Product Development Compliance team, you will ensure that all new and existing products are tested and approved according to the demanding requirements set by Thule. You will set up test plans, analyse test results and stay involved in technical product optimisations during the development process. You proof and ensure the technical compliance of all products in the RV business line, covering the product categories awnings, bike racks, steps, and soft goods (tents and panels). Role and tasks • You are responsible for establishing and maintaining test procedures, and ensuring their alignment with the Thule Group Test Code. • You are responsible for executing or developing the necessary tests to demonstrate the safety and conformity of components and finished products. • You are responsible for conducting tests on prototypes and existing products with the aim of improving quality. You advise technical product optimisations to the product development engineer during the development, based on executed tests. • You are responsible for the test plan within product development projects. • You keep track of incoming test requests and plan accordingly. • You are the owner of the RV test center and are responsible for further improvements to stay in line with the beforementioned procedures and tests. You define and defend required investments to the product development leader. • You act as the contact person with the Thule Test Center in Hillerstorp (SE) and build professional relationships with external laboratories and knowledge centers. • You are responsible for planning and coordinating tests within the Thule Group Test Center, as well as with external partners or knowledge centers. • You provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders, including sales, product management, production, and process engineering. • You act as a project manager for projects related to the above responsibilities. • You make sure test reports are correctly stored and accessible in our PLM system. • You make yourself familiar with relevant standards to keep established test methods up to date. • You are part of the compliance team. Profile • You hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in (Electro-)mechanics or a related field. • You have a strong technical skillset and are a real problem solver. • You are creative to define new test methods. • You are a hands-on person who takes ownership. • You have strong spatial insights and master technical drawings. • You are familiar with electronics (motors, control boxes, …) • You are an effective communicator. • You have strong language skills: Dutch (very good), English (good), and a basic knowledge of French and German. • You enjoy dismantling and destroying products. • You take full ownership of your projects, showing both entrepreneurial drive and structured execution. • You work precise and in a structured way. • You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). • You are a creative, conceptual thinker with a strong analytical mindset. • Knowledge of Solidworks is considered a plus. • Knowledge of simulations software (FEM) is considered a plus. • You naturally embody and represent the Thule brand and its active lifestyle values.
