Job Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Windows System Engineer with solid Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise and a strong background in customer-centric or commerce-driven environments.
You'll play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our hybrid infrastructure while supporting business-critical systems.
This is a 3-month contract with high potential for extension based on performance and ongoing project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Support and improve GCP cloud infrastructure, including Compute Engine, IAM, networking, and storage.
Develop and enhance automation processes using PowerShell, Terraform, or other tools.
Ensure high system availability and performance, especially during peak business periods.
Implement and monitor security best practices aligned with retail compliance standards (e.g. PCI-DSS).
Provide senior-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT security, network engineers, and business analysts.
Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure and operational procedures.
Profile Requirements:
Must-Haves:
5+ years in a Windows System Engineering role.
Proven experience managing infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and core network services.
Experience in a customer-centric or commerce-driven environment
Automation and scripting (PowerShell, Terraform).
English fluency (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Haves:
Professional GCP certification (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect or SysOps).
Working knowledge of ITIL and change management processes.
French and/or Dutch language skills.
Experience with hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud).
