Business Analyst – KYC Automation (Life Insurance)
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Life Insurance division within the Business Change & Monitoring team. This team of 10 professionals specializes in individual and collective life insurance and includes Actuaries, Business Analysts, and Testers. You will play a key role in automating and digitalizing AML/KYC processes and supporting portfolio migration or commercial development projects.
What You’ll Do:
Analysis & Requirements
* Analyze KYC processes and related data management activities.
* Define and formalize requirements according to quality standards.
* Identify process and data impacts of KYC processes.
* Ensure alignment and understanding between business and IT teams.
Testing
* Prepare and execute process and calculation tests.
Monitoring & Collaboration
* Act as a bridge between business and IT teams.
* Provide regular reporting on project progress.
* Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across IT, Operations, Business, and Distribution.
* Build trustful and professional relationships with clients and suppliers.
What We’re Looking For:
KYC / AML Expertise
* Solid understanding of regulatory obligations (KYC, AML) in the life insurance context.
* Familiarity with identity verification and recertification processes.
Business & Process Analysis
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in life or banking insurance.
* Skilled in at least one standard business/process analysis methodology.
* Knowledge of the contract lifecycle and life insurance value chain.
* Ability to map, analyze, and optimize KYC processes.
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to translate business needs into actionable insights for technical teams.
IT & Data Skills
* Understanding of data constraints and service-oriented architectures (APIs, microservices).
* Familiarity with automation solutions.
* Ability to bridge business and IT perspectives.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
* Clear, structured communication with diverse stakeholders.
* Facilitation of co-creation workshops and business needs sessions.
* Strong commitment to project quality, deadlines, and outcomes.
* Client-focused mindset and proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications
* University degree in Mathematics or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in life or banking insurance.
* Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a plus.
* Organized, structured, and pragmatic.
* Flexible and adaptable with a strong learning ability.
