SciNova are exclusively supporting an international Biopharmaceutical organisation in the Walloon region who're seeking a Maintenance Manager to support their expanding operations and ensure the reliability of high-tech process equipment + facility management in a complex and regulated setting.
This person will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients production and laboratory facilities. You will manage a team of technicians who work across multiple shifts that perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
Role responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance team across mechanical, electrical, and utilities disciplines.
* Ensure equipment reliability for GMP manufacturing.
* Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimise downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
* Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to support batch readiness, deviations, and CAPA activities.
* Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with regulatory compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
* Support audits (internal and external) and ensure all maintenance documentation meets GMP standards.
Role requirements:
* Technical education in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, automation + relevant work experience.
* Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read technical drawings and follow SOPs.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset.
* Familiarity with GMP requirements is an asset.
* Fluent French.
