Job Description:
As a seasoned data scientist, you will delve into the intricate relationships between renewable energy forecasts, pricing signals, market behavior, and system imbalances. Your expertise in developing methods to quantify implicit flexibility using data science, machine learning, and statistical tools will be instrumental in tracking and evaluating how energy usage patterns respond to imbalance prices.
Your role involves combining data from various sources (hardware availability, behavioral responsiveness, and observed energy consumption) to build a comprehensive picture of system flexibility. Effective communication of findings and recommendations across departments is also crucial.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist with strong Python expertise (5+ years) is required. A solid grasp of machine learning and statistical methods, along with a strong ability to turn business questions into quantitative models, are essential skills. Experience working with large datasets is also necessary.
Domain Knowledge:
Understanding of energy systems or electricity markets is strongly preferred.

You should be able to balance operational and conceptual work, possess excellent organizational skills and a proactive mindset, have a strong communication style (fluent in English), and be collaborative, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
