Associate Electrical System Engineer – Fuels Company: BBST – Brazil. We are currently seeking an Associate Electrical System Engineer – Fuels to join our dynamic and experienced Fuel Systems engineering team in Brazil. The engineer will work with the Fuel Systems engineering team within the propulsion organization to support the integration, development, and certification of fuel systems for transport category airplanes. Responsibilities include documentation and generation of artifacts to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements related to electronic, electrical and control systems applied to fuel storage, indicating and distribution functions, as well as developing and implementing electromagnetic/electrostatics analysis and tests for fuels and fuel systems.
Position Responsibilities
* Supports the definition, validation, verification and documentation of complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
* Supports the definition and coordination of functional and physical interfaces between the fuel system and the vehicle.
* Supports the development of specifications, architectural and configuration concepts for fuel system electrical and electronic installations to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
* Uses various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance or electromagnetic/electrostatics effects.
* Supports certification tests for fuel systems and their components.
* Supports solutions of problems of fielded equipment over the entire product lifecycle, ensuring continued reliability of fielded systems.
* Writes Functional Hazard Assessments, System Safety Assessment reports, Test Proposals, Test Results, Certifications Plans, and Issue Papers.
* Supports activities with equipment suppliers, certification authorities and other areas to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
* Engages in assignments, collaborates with teammates, and receives tasks from managers and senior engineers.
* May require occasional national and/or international travel. The position is hybrid, requiring onsite work at one of the hiring team’s location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)
* Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
* Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
* Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia – CREA). (Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing to sponsor.)
* Proficient in both verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications (Education / Experience)
* Experience with electrical/electronic system design, analysis or integration for aircraft.
* Experience with Fuel System Electrical Design, Analysis and Certification for transport category airplanes.
* Experience with Propulsion System Electrical Design, Analysis and Certification for transport category airplanes.
* Experience with Fuel Quantity Indicating Systems Design, Analysis and Certification for transport category airplanes.
* Experience with electrical system circuit diagrams and schematics.
* Experience with electrostatics analysis and testing for fuels.
