Electromechanical Technician – Mobile Water Treatment Units FR/EN | Herstal | 1111194 Your new company Our client is a global leader in water, waste and energy management. The Herstal site, which is highly technologically advanced, ensures the maintenance, quality control and refurbishment of mobile water treatment units used across various industrial sites. The teams work in a highly technical environment combining electromechanics, automation and water treatment processes. Your new role As a Mobile Units Technician, you are responsible for the full refurbishment of trucks and mobile installations after their use in the field. You perform complete Quality Control, assess the condition of the equipment, identify the necessary actions and carry out repairs: component replacement, electrical and mechanical corrections, calibrations, etc.Your responsibilities include: Performing quality control and preventive/corrective maintenance on mobile units. Diagnosing failures (troubleshooting), analyzing data and performing light PLC programming. Replacing components (screens, valves…), calibrating sensors (pH, etc.), working on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ensuring the safe handling of chemical products. Collaborating with Field Service Representatives and restoring the trucks to optimal condition. Working independently after an initial support period. Travelling 2 to 3 times per year to England for technical coordination or training. Your profile Completed electromechanical education (electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics). Wind turbine technician experience is particularly relevant due to the transferability of skills. Skills in automation: understanding PLCs, relays, basic programming, diagnostics. Ability to analyse technical data and conduct structured troubleshooting. Experience with various types of machinery (junior profiles accepted with demonstrated versatility). B2 level of English required (phone and email communication with the UK and FSRs). Rigorous, autonomous (after several months), service‑oriented and strictly compliant with safety rules. Comfortable in a hands‑on environment, sometimes dirty, requiring manual handling and varied interventions. Knowledge of water treatment processes is an asset.
