Job Summary
JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS
* Management of the Technical department (Maintenance & Technical Projects): EIA Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, maintenance technicians, contractors handling outsourced activities
* Define and implement cost effective strategies to meet plant targets in terms of integrity, reliability/availability, quality and safety
* Manage all maintenance activities on site as per internal & external requirements (Imerys Protocols, ISO systems, legal requirements, etc…) and within allocated budget
* Ensure that “projects” are implemented within the required time frame & budget.
* Part of Imerys Talc Belgium Management Team
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Interface with production, quality, administrative, safety and external personnel for all technical aspects of the site.
* Manage all maintenance activities on site while supervising the Technical department and assure its business continuity - using own workforce and selected contractors - delivering the required availability and quality to meet customer orders and Imerys safety and environmental requirements
o Maintain license to operate while respecting maintainability legal requirements and monitoring timely resolution of deviations
o Define & execute cost effective preventive maintenance practices at equipment level
o Troubleshoot within allocated timeframe while not losing sight of permanent resolution
* Define & implement the site spare part strategy (quantities, replenishment, access, …) to guarantee equipment availability at optimum cost thus matching customers delivery needs
* Assure that staff is trained and qualified to undertake tasks assigned to them:
o Coaching and education w.r.t. Safety: Serious 7 protocols, Risk assessments, Take 5, Contractor Management, safety audits, …
o Coaching and education w.r.t. Environment (waste / dust / water / air / …), Quality (contamination / inspections / MoC / …) and continuous improvement
o Coaching and education w.r.t. Equipments installed on site to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance
* Assure the reporting on Technical KPIs to the site manager and define remediations where appropriate: maintenance actuals & forecast, CAPEX actual & forecast, scorecard metrics, site specific KPIs & metrics
* Prepare, lead and follow-up Technical projects: end-to-end management of Capital Expenditures Requests (CER) from concept through to ‘indienstnamen’- on time, within budget, as per engineering / construction / legal requirements
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline.
Experience:
* 3 to 7 years relevant professional experience in an industrial environment.
* Continuous improvement experience.
* Supervision of personnel, employees and contractors
* Project management skills is an advantage

* Fluent in Dutch & English
* Technical competence and ability to quickly learn the specifics of grinding, milling and packaging
* Cost Management / Project Management
* Good level of EIA knowledge
Highly Desirable:
* Good level of French
* Strong communication & management skills, both written & face to face
Beneficial:
* Good level of IT knowledge (experience with SAP and Google are desirable)
* Knowledge of investigation methods (5W, RCA, …), performance management, 5S
