We are seeking a visionary and experienced Active Memory-Magnetic Program Director to lead our dynamic team in the development and advancement of memory technologies (LLC, CXL). As the Active Memory-Magnetic Program Director, you will set the strategic direction, drive technical innovation, and ensure the successful execution of our magnetic memory-related projects. Your responsibilities include securing funding, overseeing project execution, and maintaining high standards of research quality and integrity. You will build and maintain strong relationships with project partners, understanding their interests and expectations. Your leadership will shape the future of memory technologies and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration within imec teams.
What you will do
* Define imec's roadmap for magnetic memories such as STT, SOT, VCMA, DW-Memory, etc., for applications like last level cache and CXL types. Define device and technology needs for Spin-Logic.
* Translate this roadmap into research topics and shorter-term deliverables for imec teams.
* Align with other memory program leaders, such as Storage, Active Memory (non-magnetic), and DTCO/STCO, to create a comprehensive memory for compute roadmap.
* Ensure technical and operational on-time delivery through a program manager and various teams, including device, process integration, process development, modeling, TCAD simulations, and reliability.
* Drive innovation through new ideas, concepts, brainstorming, and PhD topics to generate new program content and patents.
* Communicate regularly with partners, remotely or in person, about the vision and progress of your program to build long-term trust.
* Review state-of-the-art literature to stay aware of disruptive technologies that could impact your strategy.
* Encourage your team to publish in top conferences and journals.
* Promote cross-functional collaboration within imec by engaging with resource and thought leaders across organizations.
* Inspire, nurture, and manage your talented team of program managers and researchers to reach their full potential.

Who you are
* You are passionate about new technologies with positive societal impacts.
* You have 10+ years of experience in magnetic devices and emerging memory technologies in a leadership role, with strong knowledge in magnetism.
* A PhD in a semiconductor-related field is preferred.
* You possess a vision for future semiconductor research and deep knowledge of memory needs in edge AI, ML, and Neuromorphic Compute.
* High-level knowledge of current HPC systems is an advantage.
* You have excellent leadership skills and industry experience.
* You communicate convincingly, inspire enthusiasm, and are results-driven to foster a collaborative environment of innovation and customer satisfaction.
