About the job
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities across the Benelux, with potential expansion into Germany and broader Western Europe.
This is a build-from-scratch role where you operate with a high level of autonomy, owning the full business development cycle.
You will report to the Commercial Director.
Key responsibilities:
5. Identify and develop new market opportunities and verticals
6. Define and execute go-to-market strategies
7. Build and manage a sales pipeline from prospecting to closing
8. Lead complex, long-cycle deals with technical and commercial stakeholders
9. Conduct market analysis and represent the company at industry events
10. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure scalable solutions
About the ideal candidate
11. Proven track record of building business or new segments from scratch and opening new markets
12. Experience in industries such as packaging, intralogistics, automation, or supply chain (FMCG/Retail) is a big plus
13. Ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
14. Strong resilience, persistence and disciplined follow-up
15. Results-driven with a clear ability to close deals and convert opportunities into revenue
16. Autonomous and comfortable working in a less structured, entrepreneurial environment
