Project OverviewA seasoned Actuarial Consultant is sought to join the Property & Casualty (P&C) Actuarial team, specifically supporting reserving and profitability analysis for corporate P&C lines, including Workers' Compensation. The role involves critical review and enhancement of existing actuarial processes and methodologies, with a focus on streamlining workflows, improving control frameworks, and developing enhanced analytical capabilities leveraging multiple data sources.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and streamline actuarial processes: Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve data flows and documentation.Enhance controls: Rationalize and implement control mechanisms across actuarial workflows.Analytical development: Use data from multiple internal sources to develop new performance or reserving analyses.Process documentation: Ensure clear and thorough documentation for all enhanced and existing processes.Required Skills & ExperienceProven work experience as an Actuary, preferably in a P&C corporate environment.Strong understanding of actuarial methods, tables, and formulas.Expertise in P&C reserving techniques, including tools such as IBNRS, and deep familiarity with BGAAP, IFRS17, and Solvency II (SII) frameworks.Solid grasp of profitability analysis principles.Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex datasets.Ability to challenge and rethink existing methodologies with a mindset for innovation and improvement.Good knowledge of Workers’ Compensation insurance is a strong asset.Soft SkillsCritical thinking and problem-solving orientation.Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach.Autonomous and self-motivated with an eye for efficiency.
