Make your mark for patients
We are looking for an Automation Engineer who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and solution-driven to join our team, based in our Braine-l'Alleud office in Belgium.
Note that 3 roles are now open : 2 specialized in PCS7 and 1 in Aveva SP.
About the role
You will play a key role in delivering automation expertise across our manufacturing facilities in Belgium. You'll ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency in automation deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
Who you'll work with
You'll collaborate closely with primarily Production, followed by Quality teams (QA and Qualification), and finally IT for compliance with cybersecurity and virtualization regulations in order to ensure smooth coordination and optimal outcomes.
Major projects you could participate in
* PCS7: We have 4 infrastructures in Belgium where PCS7 is used,in which there are numerous projects such as the implementation of new molecule production, new equipment, and production optimizations. We also have upgrade projects to keep installations up to date.
* AVEVA SP: Projects to redefine all our infrastructures to integrate new buildings and installations: site utilities and new research facilities.
What you'll do
•You develop and maintain automation documentation and software.
•You attend workshops and align project disciplines.
• You follow up with automation integrators and vendors.
• You verify deliverables and anticipate cost increases.
• You ensure GMP and HSE compliance.
• You organize operator training and handover to operations.
Evolution in the role
BelTech Automation was officially created in January 2025. It is a team under construction and expansion, with the ambition to align our support models for production and projects in Belgium.
This could lead to growth opportunities in technical, project, and management areas. The team currently consists of 10 internal members and more than 20 external collaborators.
Interested? For this role, we're looking for the following education, experience, and skills
* Bachelor or Master degree in automation.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in GMP process automation.
* Strong knowledge of PCS7 and/or AVEVA SP
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong design, execution, and validation skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Risk management and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Be part for 24/7 guard support in hybrid model with Automation Integrators and ready to travel a limited period of time.
