Job Description:
As an Accounting Assistant, you are responsible for the accounts payable of some of our subsidiaries in France. The following tasks are entrusted to you:
1. Scanning and verifying purchase invoices: You ensure the accurate scanning and verification of received purchase invoices, making sure all data is correct.
2. Booking and checking invoices: It is your responsibility to correctly book purchase invoices in the accounting system. You also perform checks to identify any errors or discrepancies.
3. Follow-up on non-approved invoices: You keep an eye on invoices that have not yet been approved and take the necessary steps to resolve this situation, in collaboration with the involved parties.
4. Assistance in the audit of your companies: You provide support during audit processes related to the accounts payable of the assigned subsidiaries in France.
5. Booking bank statements and preparing payment runs: You are responsible for correctly booking bank statements and contribute to preparing the payment runs.
6. Optimizing the purchase-to-pay flow: You actively contribute to improving purchase-to-pay processes, with the goal of streamlining and optimizing payment processes within the organization.
7. Initiatives for administrative efficiency and internal controls: You take the lead in identifying and implementing initiatives to increase administrative efficiency and maintain internal controls.
8. Active participation in optimizing accounting: You contribute to improving overall accounting processes and actively participate in brainstorming possible optimizations.
In executing these tasks, you closely collaborate with local procurement services and controllers in France.
Job Expectations:
9. Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent experience: You have a bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent experience in a relevant role.
10. Knowledge of SAP: Experience with the SAP system is a requirement for this position.
11. Proficiency in MS Office: You have good skills in using MS Office, especially Excel.
12. Fluent in French: You can express yourself fluently in French, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of English is a plus.
13. Dynamic and accurate: You are a dynamic person who enjoys working in a team, while being extremely accurate in your work.
