Energy Infrastructure Specialist (Grid Focus)
We are seeking a technically skilled and strategically minded Energy Infrastructure Specialist to oversee grid-related operations across a diverse portfolio in Western Europe. This position is essential to ensuring secure, reliable energy access for both existing and future projects. The role involves close collaboration with infrastructure partners and regulatory entities, as well as long-term planning to ensure energy connectivity aligns with growth and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with grid operators, regulators, and other energy ecosystem partners to ensure regulatory alignment and facilitate energy access.
Regulatory Strategy: Monitor the evolving regulatory framework and provide guidance on compliance and risk mitigation strategies, including flexible connection arrangements, usage constraints, and network capacity challenges.
Grid Access & Development: Lead the application process for grid connections, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to regional regulatory standards. Offer strategic insights on grid availability for upcoming projects.
Infrastructure Upgrades: Manage energy upgrade projects across the portfolio, including tender processes, technical oversight, and future demand forecasting for enhanced capacity and resilience.
Technical Integration: Guide the integration of distributed energy technologies such as solar PV, battery systems, EV infrastructure, and electrified heating into existing assets.
Project Execution: Collaborate with internal departments, technical consultants, and external contractors to execute grid-related infrastructure projects on time and within scope.
Your Profile:
Academic background in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical discipline.
At least five years of experience in grid infrastructure, energy systems planning, or power distribution.
In-depth understanding of regional grid operations, regulatory environments, and connection procedures.
Experience with the integration of renewable energy and smart grid technologies.
Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and evolving technical requirements.
Proficiency in English and at least one additional regional language relevant to the operating area.
