Overview LeadFabric is seeking a senior Finance, Operations & HR leader to join as Head of Finance, Operations & HR. This role reports to the Managing Director and acts as a sparring partner to the leadership team, ensuring that finance, HR, and operational processes run smoothly, transparently, and with foresight. The position is based in Mechelen, Belgium (HQ) or The Netherlands, and requires full professional proficiency in Dutch and English. Your Mission You will inherit a solid financial and administrative foundation and will optimize and modernize processes to create scalable, insight-driven management systems that support growth. This role blends strategic leadership, financial control, and operational excellence, aligning finance, HR, and operations with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of financial management across entities (Belgium, UK, Romania). Oversee accounting, consolidation, VAT, and tax compliance (with support from local external accountants). Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning; drive transparency on profitability drivers. Strengthen controlling and performance management, including profitability by consultant, client, and project; resource allocation and utilization metrics; forward-looking financial models and dashboards; and strategic insights linking financial data to business performance. Safeguard cash flow, capital efficiency, and intercompany structures. Prepare reports and recommendations for management and board discussions. Review, refine, and optimize operational and administrative processes; ensure tools deliver reliable data. Lead development of automated dashboards and performance tools in collaboration with internal developers. Drive cross-functional alignment between Finance, Operations, HR, and Delivery teams. Establish routines and controls that scale with international growth. Oversee HR operations, ensuring compliance, structure, and transparency; coordinate payroll validation, contracts, and benefits; support workforce planning and compensation modeling; strengthen people metrics and reporting; align people strategy with business objectives. Profile & Qualifications Who You Are A seasoned finance and operations professional with strong financial acumen and strategic thinking. Think like a CFO but act as a builder—strategic yet practical with attention to detail. Analytical, structured, solution-oriented, and capable of linking numbers to business dynamics. You enjoy bringing clarity and control to growing organizations and naturally connect finance, operations, and HR to business performance. Your Background Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance, controlling, and operations — ideally in consulting, professional services, or a similar project-driven environment. Deep expertise in financial control, performance reporting, and process improvement. Master's degree and certified accountant. Proven success in optimizing financial and operational systems for scale. Understanding of HR processes, payroll coordination, and workforce planning. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/accounting tools (Exact Online or equivalent). Familiarity with automation, data integration, or dashboarding (e.g., APIs, Power BI) is a strong plus.
