As Sustainability and Safety Analyst, you will be the right hand of the Sustainability Director and the Health and Safety Director Europe and will be in close contact with different Health & Safety professionals in EMEA. You will develop and maintain relationships with these individuals and promote and protect Carmeuse's interests effectively. As a Sustainability & Safety Analyst EMEA, you will play a key role in driving both our environmental ambitions and our commitment to a zero‑harm culture. Your responsibilities will include:

Sustainability (80%)

* Contribute to the design and implementation of sustainability strategies, turning them into clear, actionable roadmaps.
* Serve as the internal expert for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), EPD, and PCF methodologies across Carmeuse EMEA.
* Oversee and coordinate the technical activities related to the Carbon Bank.
* Monitor external trends and developments to support strategic decision‑making.
* Lead the sustainability intelligence center, including the development of policies and procedures.
* Act as the primary contact for all matters related to the green claims procedure.
* Collect, interpret, and analyze environmental and sustainability data from operations in the field.

Safety (20%)

* Support the development and deployment of lifesaving procedures throughout the organization.
* Propose improvements to strengthen the safety policy and its enforcement framework.
* Ensure clear, customer‑oriented communication with all stakeholders, fostering a culture focused on safety and zero harm.

Minimum Skills & Qualifications

* You hold a Technical Bachelor or a master's degree in engineering.
* You possess strong knowledge in operational safety, environmental issues, and sustainability principles. Approximately 80% of your role will focus on Environment & Sustainability.
* You are able to build a strong internal network (collect data and promote creative ideas).
* You work with rigor and attention to detail, while maintaining a clear view of the broader context.
* Experience in a similar role is an asset, though not required.
* You are proactive and entrepreneurial, energized by taking initiative and driving innovative projects.
* You possess strong analytical skills and can draw meaningful conclusions from available data.
* You enjoy teamwork and naturally build strong relationships with colleagues across the organization.
* You are positive, ambitious, and motivated by contributing to the company's growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* You have strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, French is a plus.
* You are passionate about sustainability and renewable energy.
* You can navigate complex environments, understanding business challenges, opportunities, and commercial as well as environmental dynamics.
* You are capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

As Sustainability & Safety Analyst, you will play a key role, acting as the right hand to both the Sustainability Director and the Health and Safety Director Europe. The role involves close collaboration with various Health & Safety professionals across the EMEA region.

The recruitment process

* Screening : Geoffrey Nizet, HRBP will review your resume and cover letter and schedule a first screening.
* First interview : you will first be asked to complete two personality questionnaires. Following this, you will attend an interview with Brecht De Roo, Sustainability & HSE Director EMEA, Fabrice Foucart, Environmental Director, HSE EMEA and Geoffrey Nizet, HRBP.
