As the Director of Human Resources (HR), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the HR agenda for the Global Office. Reporting to the Global Head of People & Culture, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives that support our long‑term organizational priorities, while also overseeing and executing key operational HR activities that ensure a consistent, high‑quality employee experience.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to translate business objectives into effective HR strategies. Lead strategic talent initiatives, including workforce planning, organizational design, leadership development, learning & growth, performance management, and inclusion & diversity.
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing strategic guidance on people‑related matters and helping them build high‑performing teams.
Support the integration of HR technology solutions that enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and enable data‑driven decision‑making.
Manage individual employee relations matters, including performance issues, workplace concerns, conflict management, and policy interpretation.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of HR data and reporting, working closely with internal stakeholders to support informed workforce decisions.
Partner with the HR team to ensure consistency and quality in HR service delivery and operational processes.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop the Global Office HR and L&D team, ensuring strong collaboration, high professional standards, and alignment with BDO’s values and culture.
Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; knowledge of Dutch and/or Frenchwould be an asset;
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Extensive experience in HR, including experience leading a team and/or function.Strong knowledge and understanding of global employment-related laws, employee relations and risk management issues in a professional services environment.
Strong strategic thinking/planning experience with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Strong portfolio management and change management skills
