Job description As a Junior Surveyor, you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of our survey assignments, and in the analysis of the data acquired. You will be working with cutting-edge technology in various challenging environments. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and plan survey projects to ensure efficient execution. - Install, maintain, and calibrate equipment such as GPS systems, multibeam echosounders, USBLs, motion sensors, and more. - Perform regular calibration, verification, and monitoring of survey equipment to ensure accurate and reliable data collection. - Collect data in the field, prepare daily reports, analyze and interpret results, and generate charts, plans, and technical reports. - Collaborate with colleagues on ongoing operations and provide support in daily tasks. - Plan and execute surveys while prioritizing safety and efficiency. - Advise the team on geophysical and hydrographic matters to ensure the highest data quality and accuracy. - Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all procedures are followed to create a safe working environment. Profile - A degree in hydrography, geology, IT, electrical engineering, or a related field can be of use, but any motivated, hands-on person will be evaluated. - A valid driver's license. - Team-oriented, flexible, and proactive in approaching tasks. - Fluent in both Dutch and English (spoken and written). - Knowledge of hydrographic surveying and industry practices is a plus. - Familiarity with survey methods and equipment is highly beneficial.
