WOOD.BE is the knowledge centre for the Belgian woodworking and furniture industry. We support the companies in this industry in their efforts to realise an innovative and sustainable future. To achieve this goal, we develop activities in fields such as technological research, innovation, certification, testing, standardisation and safety. We are based in the centre of Belgium (Brussels). The scope of our certification activities is diverse: chain-of-custody, CE-marking, ISPM-15, CARB, EPA, ATG. New legislation on, for instance, deforestation and renewable energy broadens this scope even more. To sustain the growth of these activities, we are looking for an auditor to expand our team.
Job Description
You will spend around 60% of your time in the field, auditing companies. You can organize your other tasks in a combination of office work and telework. These tasks include audit planning, communication with clients, audit reporting, team meetings, trainings and desk research. You respect your own deadlines, and you monitor closely whether the companies that you audit respect their deadlines, too.
You are reporting to the Certification Manager of WOOD.BE.
Requirements
* You have a relevant master's degree (e.g. bioengineer, civil engineer, industrial engineer) or a relevant bachelor's degree (e.g. wood technology).
* Professional experience in auditing is an advantage, but training is provided along with guidance from the other auditors of the certification team.
* You have the necessary personal characteristics it takes to be an auditor, such as ethical, open-minded, diplomatic, collaborative, observant, perceptive, versatile, tenacious, decisive, self-reliant, professional and responsible.
* You are well organized and efficient in time management, prioritisation and planning. You are precise and punctual.
* You are fluent in Dutch (language of the audits) and you have a good knowledge of English (language of official documents). Knowledge of French is a bonus
* You have a good practical knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, …).
