Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting: End-to-end responsibility for the accounting (IFRS & BeGaap) of NMBS and its subsidiaries. Supervise statutory financial reporting and, in collaboration with the Head of Controlling, the financial reporting to the governance bodies. Serve as the central contact for the board of commissioners. Transactional accounting handled by the NMBS Finance Shared Service Center.
Fiscality: Full responsibility for all tax aspects (corporate tax, VAT, etc.) of the group.
Corporate Finance: Contribute to strategic projects by advising other directorates on financial implications (entity valuations, financial analysis of investment projects, financial impact of major contracts). Work closely with the legal department.
People Management: Coach and motivate a team of ~35 professionals with focus on ongoing development of their competencies.
Qualifications
Master in an economic or financial field. Master in tax is a strong plus.
At least 15 years of relevant experience, ideally combining 5 years in Big 4 with experience as head of accounting in a large commercial company with production activities.
Experience in Corporate Finance (due diligence, valuations) is a clear asset.
Deep knowledge of IFRS and BeGaap, complemented by solid tax knowledge.
Fluent in one of the national languages and able to present in writing and speaking in the other language. Good knowledge of English is a plus.
Natural leader, strong communicator and able to work under pressure.
