SUPPORT ENGINEER - LEUVEN (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONWe're currently recruiting for a Support Engineer to join a network operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the real-time supervision, monitoring, and operational support of critical network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance across the environment.You will act as a key point of contact for network incidents, working to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that may impact service. This includes analyzing alerts, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely escalation when needed. The position requires a strong operational mindset, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining service quality.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and supervise network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and uptimeIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents in a timely mannerPerform root cause analysis and implement preventive measuresSupport maintenance activities, upgrades, and network changesCollaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex issuesMaintain accurate documentation of network configurations and incidentsParticipate in on-call rotations when requiredProvide clear communication and updates to stakeholdersRequirements:Fluency in Dutch (spoken and written) and good command of EnglishStrong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching)Experience with network monitoring tools and incident management systemsAbility to troubleshoot network issues methodically under pressureFamiliarity with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS is an advantageBasic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills, especially in high-pressure situationsTeam-oriented with a proactive mindsetAbility to learn quickly and adapt to new technologiesThe Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
