Our client is seeking an SEO & GEO Specialist to set up, implement, and manage a complete search optimization strategy from the ground up. This role is on a freelance, ad-hoc basis and covers both traditional SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
Responsibilities
* Conduct a full audit of the client’s website and digital presence.
* Design and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy.
* Establish a GEO strategy to optimize content for AI-driven engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Bard, etc.).
* Perform keyword research and ensure proper indexing and tracking of priority keywords.
* Set up and configure Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and other relevant tools.
* Monitor & Perform SEO & GEO performance.
* Implement structured data/schema markup for better indexing and visibility.
* Optimize and publish content to improve rankings and AI discoverability.
* Provide clear documentation and recommendations for ongoing improvements.
* Stay ahead of industry trends in SEO, GEO, and AI search.
Requirements
* Proven experience in SEO setup, strategy, and execution.
* Familiarity with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) or Answer Engine Optimization.
* Strong technical skills in Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, and SEO audit tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
* Experience with structured data/schema markup.
* Hands-on approach: able to set up, implement, and manage optimizations, not just advise.
* Excellent communication skills in French and English.
