Start your data engineering journey in a role that gives you more than just training. At Loop, you’ll work hands‑on from day one, helping automate and scale the data systems that power our business – starting with SAP integrations, and expanding into broader engineering challenges.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Data Engineer, you'll improve reliability, automate flows, and grow into complex systems. Your first months will focus on supporting our SAP integration landscape by writing scripts, troubleshooting issues, and validating data flows. You’ll build basic monitoring and error handling to make things more reliable and transparent. Over time, you’ll take on broader responsibilities across our data engineering stack – from building internal tools and APIs, to preparing clean, well‑modeled data that fuels analytics and AI use cases. You’ll be learning constantly, with the freedom to ship improvements that matter.
* Write and maintain scripts for extracting and transforming data
* Build basic monitoring for reliability and alerting
* Document your work clearly to support knowledge sharing
* Help improve the performance and accuracy of our data pipelines
* Contribute to tools that support automation and cost‑saving initiatives
Key Competences
* Comfortable with a programming language used in data or integration contexts (e.g. Python, SQL, or similar)
* Able to show something you’ve built (e.g. GitHub project, coursework, or personal project)
* Familiar with common data formats (e.g. CSV, JSON)
* Bonus if you’ve worked with tools like Jupyter, dbt, Dagster, Docker, or Snowflake
* Bonus if you know the basics of data modeling or have touched SAP or cloud platforms
