Key initiatives include:Migrating non-SAP data to Azure to modernize data infrastructure.Implementing strategic use cases that will drive business value and innovation.Building a self-service reporting strategy to empower teams across the organization.To help achieve these ambitious goals, the organization is looking for a passionate Azure Data Engineer to strengthen the Data & Analytics team.Main MissionAs an Azure Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the organization’s data ecosystem, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will play a key role in delivering reliable data to Data Science, BI, and business teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or other Azure services.Implement modern data architectures (Data Lake, Delta Lake, Lakehouse).Automate data ingestion, transformation, and exposure processes.Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to understand needs and propose suitable solutions.Document data flows, models, and best practices.Assist in implementing a self-service reporting strategy using Power BI and Databricks.Maintaining the Microsoft Azure platform.Required Technical SkillsExperience with distributed data processing frameworks (Spark, PySpark, Databricks).Strong skills in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.Knowledge of CI/CD principles applied to data engineering.Experience with Power BI administration and governance.Knowledge of application integration patterns (e.g. REST API/AMQP).Adhere to best practices.ProfileDegree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.Analytical mindset, attention to detail, autonomy, and team spirit.Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.Nice to HaveExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Familiarity with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).Basic SAP knowledge (S4/Hana as a major data source).If you thrive in a dynamic environment, love working with cutting-edge technologies, and want to make a real impact on the future of mobility in Brussels, we’d love to hear from you!
