We are supporting a major European utilities organisation on several business-critical digital initiatives linked to platform engineering and the energy transition. For a long-term programme, we are looking for an experienced .NET Architect to provide technical leadership across a portfolio of modern cloud-based platforms.

Responsibilities
* Lead the technical architecture for a suite of portal and platform products
* Provide architectural direction for a .NET 8 microservices-based environment
* Guide and mentor full-stack .NET developers across multiple Scrum teams
* Coordinate development activities and support delivery during sprint cycles
* Investigate complex technical issues and drive structured solution design
* Challenge and refine architectural and technical decisions with peers
* Collaborate closely with Product Owners to validate and shape features
* Organise technical workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions with developers
* Communicate architectural concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills
* Strong experience as a .NET Architect or Technical Lead
* Deep expertise in C# and modern .NET ecosystems
* Proven experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Kubernetes
* Experience designing and supporting microservices-based architectures
* Strong knowledge of Azure cloud environments
* Experience working with SQL and/or MongoDB
* Familiarity with clean architecture principles
* Ability to lead technical discussions and coordinate development teams
* Comfortable working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
Other Desired Skills
* Experience with Blazor or modern .NET frontend technologies
* Knowledge of Helm and container-based deployment practices
* Exposure to Dapr or distributed application runtimes
* Experience in the energy or utilities sector
* Interest in platform engineering and cloud-native architectures
