An established international group headquartered in Brussels is looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. Operating across infrastructure, environmental services, and industrial operations, the business combines entrepreneurial spirit with the stability of a well-established family-owned organisation.

The Role:
As Senior Accountant, you will take responsibility for the accounting activities of several entities within the group and become a key member of the finance team based in Brussels.
You will work closely with the Finance Manager and play an important role in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement across the finance function.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the full accounting cycle from A to Z for multiple entities
* Coordinating day-to-day accounting activities and supporting junior team members
* Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
* Managing accruals, reconciliations, and statutory reporting
* Ensuring compliance with VAT, tax, and regulatory obligations
* Supporting group consolidation and intercompany reconciliations
* Acting as a key contact for auditors and external stakeholders
* Monitoring receivables and supporting cash collection processes
* Driving process improvements and helping optimise reporting efficiency
About You
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax
* Proven accounting track record
* Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting and tax regulations
* Experience working in an international or multi-entity environment is a plus
* ERP knowledge such as MS Dynamics or Exact is advantageous
* Fluent in English xphnsxz
