We currently have a vacancy for a Test Automation Specialist (Moodle) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert will be based in Brussels, Belgium. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client's IT team on site.
Your Tasks:
* Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers;
* Review, analyze, and test software requirements, use cases, user stories, and designs according to test solutions best practices, with a specific focus on web and mobile applications as well as on the Moodle platform;
* Definition of test plans and test cases, estimating, prioritizing, and planning test activities to align with project timelines and deliverables;
* Construction of test scenarios and scripts using tools like Xray and Jira;
* Execution of functional, regression, and exploratory tests across different browsers, devices, and platforms to ensure consistency and performance, particularly for web and mobile access to the Moodle application;
* Plan, prepare, and run load and performance tests for the Moodle platform and associated reporting infrastructure using tools like JMeter;
* Plan, prepare, and run automated tests on the platform using Appium and Selenium, and implement and execute them;
* Reporting of test results, creating detailed testing reports and communicating findings to developers and product teams using tools such as Xray and Qase;
* Support diagnosis and investigation of site incidents and implement workarounds to restore functionality, particularly during and after the Moodle migration. Collecting logs and screenshots using Instabug or similar to analyze user-reported issues;
* Investigate repetitive incidents for root cause identification and implement solutions to prevent such incidents from recurring, documenting and tracking defects in Jira;
* Assist in validating data integrity and reporting functionality, such as reviewing Firebase implemented tags to ensure data tracking across the application.
Requirements
* University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in IT;
* Minimum 5 years of work experience and knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools JIRA, Confluence and either Test Rail or Xray;
* Minimum 5 years of experience with automated testing and test implementation: specific expertise in automated testing and test implementation using frameworks like Appium or Selenium;
* Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in the manual testing of LMS architecture, functionality, and common issues, with preference for Moodle;
* Minimum 2 years of experience and very good knowledge of performance and load testing tools, specifically JMeter;
* Mandatory experience of installations of at least users and supporting more than 5 languages;
* Extensive experience working in an agile environment, mastering methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban;
* Experience with Kotlin and Gherkin (BDD) for automation;
* Experience in the test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases, including MySQL;
* Very good knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, performance, exploratory, user acceptance testing), technologies, tools and techniques;
* ISTQB certification is required;
* Excellent command of the English language.
