A client of ours is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Manager to lead their finance function in West Flanders. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the organization’s strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end close
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Ensure compliance with Belgian GAAP, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
* Strengthen and monitor internal controls and financial procedures
* Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
* Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
* Support senior management with financial analysis and reporting
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
* 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, including team management
* Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and tax regulations
* Proven experience in managing financial operations and reporting
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
