Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for a QC Technician to join its team.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Operational
* Perform QC analytical testing on biopharmaceutical products (Drug Substance, Drug Product, Finished Goods), including HPLC, UV, ELISA, electrophoresis, bioassays, DNA threshold, IPC, release, stability and Phase III clinical studies, in compliance with approved procedures and applicable pharmacopoeias.
* Manage HPLC/UPLC/CE columns and ensure receipt of samples, reagents and consumables.
* Participate in analytical method feasibility studies and method transfers (internal and external).
* Ensure accurate data entry, review and traceability of analytical results in LIMS.
* Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization and operational readiness; manage laboratory inventories.
* Perform equipment cleaning and any additional laboratory tasks as requested by the Team Leader.
Equipment / Data Review / Documentation
* Perform peer review (double check) of analytical results.
* Ensure proper archiving of raw data, notebooks and logbooks in compliance with procedures.
* Support equipment lifecycle activities: purchasing requests, instrument files, qualifications, calibrations and preventive maintenance.
* Contribute to the preparation and implementation of equipment-related protocols, reports and SOPs.
Quality
* Work in strict compliance with approved procedures, validated methods and specifications.
* Identify, document and investigate OOS, deviations and anomalies; promptly notify the Team Leader.
* Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) within agreed timelines.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory methods, procedures and performance.
* Follow the training curriculum and proactively identify training or process improvement needs.
Safety
* Apply site Health & Safety policies within the laboratory.
* Immediately report any incident, accident or unsafe condition.
* Actively contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory safety.
ABOUT YOU:
* Master’s degree in life sciences or any related field
* 3 to 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
* Good knowledge of GMP rules
* Good knowledge of the V-cycle
* Autonomous, conscientious and positive problem-solving mindset
* Fluency in French and English is mandatory.
