As a Product Development Engineer at Unilin Insulation, you play a crucial role in creating innovative insulation solutions for the European market. You combine technical expertise with creativity and market insight to transform new ideas into strong, feasible products. Within an international team, you work on projects that will impact the construction sector of tomorrow. You are given the freedom to take initiative, contribute your ideas, and help build sustainable growth within our organization.
1. You formulate development proposals for new products and applications within the European market.
2. You lead development projects from A to Z — from defining the opportunity through to launch.
3. You closely follow trends and innovations in the construction and insulation world and are able to respond quickly.
4. You interact with customers (including architects and contractors) to understand their needs.
5. You design, build, and improve prototypes in collaboration with the production department.
6. You work closely with other departments (production, marketing, sales, etc.) to ensure solutions are technically sound and broadly supported internally.
WHO YOU ARE
7. You hold an Engineering degree (preferably in Civil Engineering), with or without work experience.
8. You are naturally curious, creative, and passionate about the construction sector.
9. You think analytically and work in a structured, accurate manner.
10. You work independently but are also a strong team player.
11. You are capable of managing projects from A to Z.
12. You are dynamic, entrepreneurial, take initiative, and are not easily discouraged.
13. You enjoy hands-on work: designing, building, and improving prototypes with the production team, organizing test sites, and validating solutions with customers.
14. You are a strong communicator, a good listener, and build relationships easily — both with external stakeholders and internally.
15. You have a good command of English; knowledge of French is an asset. #LI-RV1
