Compliance Manager BENELUX
This role offers a challenging opportunity to lead compliance efforts for a global financial services company. As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the company's compliance policy in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Mission Objectives:
* Manage the local Compliance team by leading, training, and conducting performance reviews.
* Define comprehensive compliance policies and procedures ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate on implementing an effective compliance risk assessment policy to identify risks associated with the regulatory environment and products offered.
* Oversee monitoring of agency and agent activities to ensure transactions comply with internal anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing policies.
* Lead due diligence tasks for potential agents and continuously update KYC records.
* Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify areas of vulnerability and risk.
* Prepare operational compliance manuals and training materials for personnel.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and other competent authorities handling all regulatory requests and inspections.
* Develop and implement compliance training programs for all employees to improve knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements.
* Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements impacting operations and ensure business practices are updated accordingly.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, finance, or a related field obtained in Belgium and/or Netherlands.
* Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry or banking sector.
* In-depth knowledge of the financial regulatory landscape in Belgium, including FSMA, NBB, and DNB regulations.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with regulators, management, and staff.
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and locations with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
