Why Inkit?
At Inkit, we're on a mission to provide privacy and protection for the world's data.
Every day, individuals and organizations waste time digging through endless files and folders. Inkit's File Intelligence Platform solves that by using AI to transform how we interact with files, surface information, and protect sensitive data. We're building a new standard for how the world understands and controls its data. With over $30 million in federal government contracts and more on the way, this is an exciting time to join our team.
About The Role
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of digital signatures and document automation for some of the most critical organizations in the world. You'll join a small, focused product design team at a pivotal moment. We've just launched a redesigned application and are preparing to scale to 20,000+ users in 2026. This role requires someone who can move fast without compromising quality, think systematically about design at scale, and thrive in a high-stakes B2B environment.
You'll work closely with our team of product designers, PMs, and a large engineering team to deliver experiences that drive activation and long-term adoption. This is an IC role with strong influence - you'll own significant parts of the product while helping elevate our design practice.
What You'll Do
Product Design & Delivery
Own end-to-end design for key product areas, from discovery through shipping and iteration
Design web experiences (responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile) that balance user needs with business goals
Partner with PMs and engineers in refinement sessions to scope work, answer questions, and ensure smooth handoffs
Ship high-quality work quickly - you'll need to ship quickly to meet ambitious deployment timelines and user growth goals
Make smart trade-offs between ideal solutions and what's feasible given timelines and constraints
Design Systems & Craft
Evolve and formalize our existing design system to support consistency and scalability
Create new patterns and components as product needs emerge
Ensure design system adoption across the team and maintain documentation
Help elevate design quality across the team through systems thinking, adherence to best practices, and exceptional craft in typography, interaction design, and information architecture
Research & Strategy
Conduct user research to inform design decisions and validate solutions
Develop a deep understanding of our users' workflows, pain points, and mental models
Identify opportunities to improve activation, engagement, and retention
Use data and feedback to iterate on shipped work and reduce friction
Think ahead: anticipate edge cases, scale issues, and usability risks before they surface
Collaboration & Influence
Partner closely with the Design Lead to shape design direction and team culture
Present work and advocate for user needs with PMs, engineers, and leadership
Contribute to design critiques and provide thoughtful feedback to teammates
Work cross-functionally to align on priorities, manage scope, and deliver on time
Help establish design processes and rituals that improve team effectiveness
Required
What We're Looking For
5+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product work, systems thinking, and craft
Deep proficiency in Figma and experience building/maintaining design systems
Experience designing for web applications (responsive across devices)
Proven ability to conduct user research and translate insights into design decisions
Track record of shipping quality work under tight timelines
Strong collaboration skills - you work well with PMs, engineers, and other designers
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to define problems, not just solve them
Bonus
Experience with complex B2B workflows or enterprise software
Government, defense, or regulated industry experience
Familiarity with accessibility standards
Background in design operations or leading design system initiatives
Mentorship or teaching experience
Understanding of technical constraints and how engineers implement designs
Who You Are
Systems thinker: You see patterns, build frameworks, and design for scale
Pragmatic: You balance craft with speed and know when "good enough" ships
User-focused: You advocate for users while understanding business constraints
Collaborative: You build trust with cross-functional partners and elevate those around you
Proactive: You identify problems early and propose solutions before being asked
Resilient: You handle feedback well, iterate quickly, and stay calm under pressure
Growth-minded: You're eager to mentor others while continuing to learn yourself
Detail-oriented: You sweat the small stuff because you know it compounds into great experiences
Why This Role Matters
We're at an inflection point. We've rebuilt our product, and now we need to prove it drives real value for thousands of users. The decisions you make in the next year will determine whether we succeed. If you're energized by high-impact work, tight-knit teams, and the challenge of designing for scale - this is the role.
