Company Description
Treasure Cruise Trading operates globally, combining data, market insight, and AI to uncover opportunities in the Trading Card Game (TCG) market. We monitor millions of listings, run proprietary data pipelines, and turn market intelligence into scalable execution. We're a small, focused team combining real trading experience with deep technical execution.
Role Description
We're looking for a Full-Stack Product Engineer to work across our live trading systems - maintaining and improving existing pipelines, building new tools from scratch, and redesigning components when it materially increases performance, reliability, or leverage.
You'll work directly with our Head of Tech and sit close to the traders who use the platform daily. You'll understand real workflows, see the direct impact of what you build, and ship features that immediately improve trading performance - visible in the numbers. Think of it as building an internal Bloomberg terminal for TCG markets.
We value pragmatic engineering over theoretical purity. If something works, we build on it. If it slows us down, we fix it. We're also constantly exploring how AI models and agents can improve our workflows, from coding to data analysis to decision support.
What you'll do
Build new trading tools, pricing engines, and market intelligence features from scratch
Maintain and improve existing data pipelines, automations, and systems
Identify and rework components where architectural improvements create real, measurable value
Work directly with traders to understand workflows and translate operational needs into technical solutions
Ship features end-to-end: from database schema to API to frontend
Help explore and integrate AI-assisted tooling into our trading and engineering workflows
Qualifications
Strong backend development experience (Python)
Solid frontend skills with modern frameworks or similar)
Comfortable with SQL and relational database design
Able to work across the full stack and take ownership of features end-to-end
Value-driven mindset: you think about where to add the most leverage, not just what's next on the backlog
Clear communicator who can work closely with non-technical stakeholders (traders)
Self-motivated and effective in a small, fast-moving team
Bonus points for:
Interest in or experience with financial markets, trading systems, or algorithmic strategies
Experience with AI coding tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.), we use them daily and find them incredibly valuable
FastAPI or similar modern Python frameworks
Data engineering or working with big data
Web scraping, APIs, or marketplace integrations
Interest in TCGs, sports cards, or collectibles
