SHAPE is seeking a qualified candidate for a temporary position from ASAP until 31 December 2025, with a possibility of extension. Candidates should meet the requirements below and be interested in working in a fast-paced international environment.
Due to the urgency of this role, candidates must be available for temporary employment and possess a valid NATO security clearance at the time of application or have held one recently with the ability to reactivate it swiftly. A. POST CONTEXT
Initially, the incumbent will perform duties related to the establishment of NSATU (NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine), including reviewing the organizational structure and developing the post context. As NSATU matures, responsibilities include refining this post context regularly.
B. PRINCIPAL DUTIES
The role involves managerial duties such as supervising personnel, managing finances, overseeing technical resources, and developing training programs. The incumbent must lead diverse teams effectively, ensure operational excellence, and support mission objectives.
C. ADDITIONAL DUTIES
The incumbent may be assigned additional duties within the organization as directed, with responsibilities subject to change based on mission requirements. Work is performed in a standard NATO office environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
A. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in communications, control, or computer systems, with CIS experience at a national or international HQ, is required. Candidates should have authority over their work area, demonstrate leadership, influence organizational development, and communicate complex ideas effectively. Prior NATO or multinational operational experience, including participation in NATO exercises or deployments, is preferred.
Educational requirements include a university degree with 4 years of related experience or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training and 7 years of experience. Specific experience with CIS infrastructure, NATO CIS organization, and military CIS systems is essential. Background as a Signal Officer with multinational experience is advantageous.
