The Role
We are seeking a motivated Public Affairs Senior Consultant to join our Sustainability, Energy & Mobility practice.
Key Responsibilities – Public Affairs and Association Management – Sustainability & Circularity Focus
* Lead client work-streams and oversee more junior colleagues
* Contribute to client, association and project management under the supervision of a manager
* Research and analyse industry topics and assess possible impact on clients’ business
* Provide clients with timely insights and deliver written “client-ready” reports & briefings
* Build and manage a network of contacts with relevance to clients’ missions
* Attend key policy events and gather insights for logos and for the clients
* Collaborate with other teams on integrated public affairs, associated management and communications campaigns
* Contribute to business development through prospective policy research and analysis
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
* Master’s degree in European Affairs or other related fields
* 3-4 years of relevant experience in EU public affairs (consultancy, trade associations, corporate, or institutional roles)
* Strong understanding of EU decision-making processes
* Expertise in EU circular and bio-based economy is a plus
* Experience is association management is also an asset
* Fluent in English (native or equivalent) + proficiency in at least one other EU language
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Excellent research skills, ability to synthesise information and extract key messages
* Proactive with a collaborative, can-do attitude. Well organised, attention to detail
* Ability to distil complex technical topics into clear messages for diverse audiences
* Eligible to work in the EU
