VF Corporation is looking for a Health and Safety and Security Advisor to join our team based in Belgium.
As DC Health & Safety and Security Advisor, you will play a key role in creating and sustaining a safe, secure and compliant working environment within our Distribution Center in Sint-Niklaas (BE).
This is a hands‑on, operational role, where you will work closely with DC leadership, teams on the floor and EMEA partners to drive behavioural change, influence practices, and strengthen a strong Health, Safety and Security culture.
While technical knowledge is important, success in this role is driven by your ability to engage people, influence behaviours and support change in a fast‑paced operational environment.
This role offers strong exposure within the EDC and EMEA network, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to grow and take on broader responsibilities within Health & Safety and Security.
How you will make a difference Health & Safety
1. Ensure full compliance with local regulations and VF global H&S standards
2. Oversee risk assessment and Health & Safety and Security programs within the Distribution Center
3. Manage and continuously improve the incident and accident reporting & investigation process, identifying root causes and corrective actions
4. Track incidents and employee injuries, proactively identifying trends and reducing operational risk
5. Support DC leaders in managing safety incidents and emergency procedures
6. Organize and provide Health & Safety awareness and training
Security & Asset Protection
7. Support the implementation and maintenance of physical security and loss prevention procedures within the DC
8. Manage the on‑site external security vendor (3rd party) and ensure agreed standards are met
9. Coordinate security audits and inspections, following up on action plans
10. Collaborate closely with EMEA Asset Protection teams, sharing best practices and ensuring alignment
11. Act as point of contact with local Law Enforcement, when required
12. Exposure to investigations, loss prevention or theft‑related topics is considered a strong plus.
Influence, Training & Change
13. Design and deliver Health, Safety and Security training to employees for creating a workplace and to train how to act in case of emergency
14. Develop clear tools, reports and communication to ensure awareness and engagement
15. Act as a change agent, influencing behaviours on the shop floor and supporting leaders in embedding safe and secure ways of working
16. Challenge unsafe or non‑compliant behaviours in a constructive and pragmatic way
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
You will work closely with DC Operations, HR, Maintenance and EMEA Health & Safety / Asset Protection teams to ensure alignment on priorities, risks and actions. Acting as a Key point of Contact at site level, you will keep local management informed on emerging risks, incidents and regulatory updates, supporting informed decision-making and timely interventions. Through strong collaboration and clear communication, you will contribute to protecting VF’s reputation by identifying potential liability exposure and supporting appropriate responses to critical issues.

What you bring
21. Bachelor’s degree or certification in Health & Safety, Security or a related field (Prevention advisor, VCA TAPA, etc.), or equivalent practical experience
22. 2–5 years’ experience in Health & Safety and/or Security in an operational environment (ideally logistics or DC)
23. Working knowledge of local H&S and Security regulations
24. Good command of English and Dutch language are mandatory
25. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence without formal authority
26. Structured, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
27. Exposure to security operations, loss prevention or investigations
28. Experience managing external vendors or contractors
29. First leadership experience or involvement in change initiatives within a site or operation
30. Experience in an international or matrix organization
31. Ability to travel by air and overnight, when required
32. Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items
