Job Description:

Title: Manager Strategic Transformation (Hybrid Cloud Sales & Presales) – Benelux

Overview: The Manager Strategic Transformation leads and develops a presales organization focused on accelerating the hybrid and private cloud business across the Benelux region. This role combines presales management with transformation leadership—shifting presales from technical responders to strategic, customer-facing influencers—while continuing hands-on presales responsibilities. You will reshape solutions and proposals toward HPE hybrid and private cloud offerings, integrate the HPE Cloud software portfolio, and embed value‑added services to deliver end-to-end hybrid and private cloud solutions. This role includes direct customer-facing engagement and serves as the management point of contact for the Belgium and Benelux regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Transformational Leadership

* Define and execute a transformation roadmap for the hybrid cloud presales function that elevates presales to strategic, customer-facing influencers across Benelux.
* Reframe solution and proposal design to prioritize HPE hybrid and private cloud architectures, incorporate the HPE Cloud software portfolio, and embed value‑added services for end-to-end customer outcomes.
* Partner with sales leadership, product management, services, and partners to create repeatable, scalable solution patterns, IP and playbooks for hybrid/private cloud opportunities.
* Measure and report transformation progress with clear KPIs (e.g., presales-driven pipeline influence, solution attach rates, win rates on hybrid/private cloud deals, customer satisfaction).

Managing the Presales Business (Benelux)

* Lead a team of presales professionals across roles (Technical Consultants, Technical Client Consultants, Enterprise Architects) to provide account and shared resource support for the Benelux region.
* Act as the management point of contact for Belgium—representing presales to local sales leadership, customers, and internal stakeholders.
* Build utilization and coverage plans to align presales capacity with target regions, accounts and strategic cloud opportunities in Benelux.
* Collaborate with regional peers to close coverage gaps, allocate technical expertise, and ensure timely support on critical opportunities.
* Contribute to account planning and sales strategy; review pipelines to prioritize presales engagement for highest strategic impact.

Customer-Facing Activities & Strategic Advisory

* Regularly engage with customers at technical and executive levels as a visible, strategic presales leader across Benelux.
* Coach and enable the team to use consultative and value-based selling methods that link HPE hybrid/private cloud solutions to customers' business objectives.
* Ensure proposals include robust business cases, TCO/ROI perspectives, and service-led value that demonstrate the advantage of HPE Cloud software and managed offerings.
* Act as an escalation point on complex customer engagements, building executive relationships internally and with clients to secure strategic outcomes.

People Leadership & Talent Development

* Manage performance of individual contributors and the team; recruit, retain and grow cloud-focused presales talent.
* Develop and run skill-building programs (cloud architecture, HPE Cloud software, solution selling, financial selling, executive engagement).
* Coach managers and consultants on customer-facing behaviors, presentation skills, and selling as a technical leader.

Operations & Business Acumen

* Continuously improve presales processes to align with company strategy, optimize organizational performance, and increase productivity.
* Apply business, financial and legal understanding to make pragmatic recommendations and shape proposals that align with customer goals and contractual frameworks.
* Manage budgets, forecasts and resource allocation for the presales area.

Core Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent); advanced degree or certifications in cloud/IT/engineering or business preferred.
* Typically 7+ years in sales or presales roles, with demonstrable management experience leading presales teams and contributing to quota achievement.
* Proven experience driving transformation initiatives, building solution playbooks, or launching cloud-focused go-to-market motions.
* Strong project management skills and experience coordinating cross-functional teams (sales, services, product, partners).

Skills & Competencies:

* Deep knowledge of hybrid cloud and private cloud architectures and familiarity with HPE Cloud software and services portfolios.
* Consultative and strategic selling skills; ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes and financial value.
* Strong stakeholder management and executive engagement skills, internally and with customers.
* Resource planning, forecasting and operational management skills.
* Coaching, performance management, workforce planning and talent development experience.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence at all levels.

This role blends hands-on presales management, customer-facing leadership, and strategic transformation responsibility to accelerate HPE's hybrid and private cloud business in the Benelux region by converting presales into trusted advisors and shaping solutions that deliver end-to-end cloud value to our customers.
