Business process specialist

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

1. Define, implement and support globally standardized Customer Service and European Distribution Center related Supply Chain processes through Project management, Change management and Lean thinking
2. Support the future growth of the organization by facilitating fast cross-functional change opportunities through increased process efficiency, quality, and transparency
3. Ensure maintenance and continuous improvement of the business systems, aligned with corporate ERP strategies

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management (LEAN Six Sigma)

4. Setup of project planning, close follow-up on identified actions and implementation
5. (Global) Coordination of a cross-functional project team
6. Set up regular checkpoints with management to report on progress and align on direction of the project
7. Risk assessment and Solution management

Business and system analysis:

8. Create operational efficiencies through automation (for master data management, transactional processing, and reporting) and guarantee integration of new business requirements into ERP, BPI supported Automation tools, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), and other systems:
9. Compose business requirements for enhancements to SAP, BPI supported Automation tools, MES, and other systems
10. Independently pull and interpret data as a basis for data-driven business cases
11. Guarantee correct interpretation of business requirements by IT teams and other functional areas by ensuring close follow up and interaction with respective teams
12. Execute provided test scripts related to fixes and enhancements and assess results
13. Assist departments cross-functionally in aligning business processes with SAP, BPI supported Automation tools, MES, and other functionality

Implementation of new or changed business processes:

14. Ensure a smooth implementation of the project deliverables into the business through change management and follow up on adoption success rate through identified reporting/KPI
15. Develop and maintain training material for local and central use
16. Organize process and SAP training for end-users within supported departments

Service function related to business processes and systems:

17. Independent handling and coordination of requests and inquiries from supported departments (including investigation, testing and feedback to initiator), ensuring timely order to billing completion
18. Periodical country visits to Abbott affiliates assisting in training, process analysis and business process improvements
19. Maintain interaction with L2 and L3 SAP support teams
20. Guarantee month-end support to Customer Service
21. Incorporate support of new processes as a result from completed projects

Data maintenance and analysis:

22. Master Data - Timely and accurate set up and in coordination with all relevant stakeholders (e.g., Material Master, Product Partner Range, …)
23. Monitor the ERP, BPI supported Automation tools and MES, guaranteeing data integrity of the system database. Take corrective and preventive action based on monitoring activity and pre-defined KPIs
24. Prepare and validate product traceability lists

Internal organization:

25. Ensure consistent service is provided to users by keeping all team members up to date on ongoing activities and establishing training within the department
26. Onboarding of new colleague within the department
27. Team representation in cross-functional meetings

EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES

28. Bachelor or Master or equal by experience in relevant field such as: Business Administration, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Economics, Science, Engineering
29. 1-3 years relevant experience in an international environment
30. Profound knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is an asset)
31. Fluent in English. Other language is an asset
32. Excellent communication and training skills
33. Experience with common desktop applications (Microsoft office tools)
34. Knowledge of process (re)design and Lean transformation tools & techniques
35. Problem solver, fast learner, and creative thinker
36. Entrepreneurial spirit and Customer orientation
37. Strong team player with supportive attitude
38. Strong interest in business and business development
39. Good understanding of information technology
40. Up to 10 % travel

Must be based in Belgium and able to commute to Machelen
