The team has built an extensive experience in various domains with the value creation spectrum, such as Strategic Transformations, Transaction Strategy and Execution, Commercial Due Diligence, Commercial Strategy & Pricing and Growth Strategies. across various industries, such as Lifesciences, Industrials & Manufacturing and Consumer. The team works for both Belgian mid to large cap players, as well as European or Global scale companies and has been able to build a strong presence in the private equity market.
Currently we are looking for a ‘Manager – Commercial Due Diligence’ to reinforce and support our growth.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a ‘Manager – Commercial Due Diligence’ you help investors and corporate clients to assess the true commercial potential of businesses by analyzing, markets, customers, and competitive translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations that guide high stakes investment decisions.
As a Manager you will also get the opportunity to work on other key topics within our offering such as Strategic Transformations, Transaction Strategy and Execution, Commercial Strategy & Pricing and Growth Strategies.
GENERAL expectations:
The EY-Parthenon Commercial Due Diligence Manager will have a leading role in the development and execution of our strategy services in Brussels. Contribute to business development, by preparing client meetings and project proposals and by participating in client discussions
Manage projects, coordinate multiple commercial due diligence engagements and motivate your team to work together on common tasks. Successfully supervise, coach, and mentor all levels of staff within but also outside of your project context. Deliver a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products sufficient to drive additional and repeated engagements. Demonstrate ability to not only identify strategic opportunities, risks and issues, but also to recommend resolutions.
TECHNICAL responsibility:
1. Delivery excellence: you are able to take responsibility over one or multiple projects (including management of key stakeholders, timelines, important meetings, etc.). You support your engagement partner on a daily basis and become a ‘wing person’;
2. You are fluent in building a story line and in distinguishing key messages from details;
3. You can coach up to 3 to 5 team members to accelerate their overall development & progress on the project.
BUSINESS responsibility:
4. Sales excellence: you actively support and lead ‘Business development’-activities by contributing on proposals and driving business development activities end-to-end based on guidelines and discussions with senior leaders in the firm;
5. You can steer your team in building ‘pitch’ or inspirational documents and join/lead client discussions;
6. Building diverse capabilities: you support the market position of EY-Parthenon by driving inspirational eminence pieces forward. You make your community shine by helping out on one or more team activities.
LEADERSHIP responsibilities:
7. Effective communication: you are confident in presenting insights towards senior (client) stakeholders. You have strong stakeholder management skills and are capable in ‘challenging’ your client and leaders in a constructive way;
8. Collaboration: you are a go-to-person for both junior practitioners (for coaching) as leaders (for engagement support).
Your Profile
9. 4-7 years working experience in a strategy advisory company, private equity and/or in a corporate strategy and M&A department.
10. Master’s degree in civil, bio- or business engineering or economics. An MBA degree is considered as a strong asset.
11. Strong track record in commercial due diligence contexts or projects
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical ability to shape the business agenda and define strategic roadmaps.
13. Experience with managing complex business projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams.
14. Strong people and leadership skills (incl. cross-functional collaboration, team management and people development & coaching).
15. Strong internal and external business development acumen.
16. Entrepreneurial spirit, team player and excellent communicator.
17. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Dutch, French or English. Preferably you master one of the Belgian national languages.
18. Motivated to go the extra mile to help build and develop a consulting business that was introduced in Belgium not so long ago.
19. Flexible to be engaged in projects across Western Europe.
