The role of a project engineer involves overseeing and managing projects from start to finish. This includes defining, safeguarding, and enhancing processes, machines, and projects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
* Conducting feasibility studies for investments and new technologies.
* Spearheading the development and execution of validation protocols with the quality team.
* Providing technical training to production, technical, and quality staff.
* Managing quotations, orders in the ERP system, and invoice approvals.
* Collaborating on calculation requests and offering alternative solutions with engineers, project coordinators, and the manager.
* Optimizing assigned packaging lines to improve efficiency and performance.
* Developing and monitoring operational parameters to meet standards.
* Analyzing problems and implementing improvement actions with the engineering team.
* Documenting processes with detailed descriptions and instructions.
* Liaising with suppliers regarding new machines, technical information, or interventions.
* Attending industry fairs and training to enhance technical knowledge.
* Supervising and monitoring contracted staff.
* Managing and maintaining project plans and budgets from start to finish.
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Taking corrective actions for quality deviations or safety issues.
* Applying quality systems for Change Requests and CAPAs, supporting the quality team in defining and executing actions.
* Ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality procedures.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
* A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field, such as electromechanics, or equivalent through experience.
* Familiarity with, or interest in, GMP guidelines, pharmaceutical regulations, hygiene, etc.
* Experience with quality systems, procedures, and training.
* Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Dutch, German, or French is a plus.
* Experience in report writing.
* The ability to think conceptually with solid technical knowledge and experience in project management.
