Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain Aveva System Platform ecosystems, including deployment, object templates, Galaxy configuration, and system maintenance.
* Support and continuously improve object-oriented architectures, templates, instances, and communication setups within System Platform Galaxies.
* Develop, update, and troubleshoot Intouch HMI applications integrated with Aveva System Platform for real-time operations
* Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for issues related to System Platform, including alarms, historian data, redundancy, failover, and real-time data integrity.
* Apply ITIL/ITSM practices for structured incidents, problems, and change management processes.
* Ensure secure, validated, and compliant system configurations and follow strict pharmaceutical industry quality standards during troubleshooting and maintenance.
* Ensure seamless connectivity and communication between Aveva Application Servers, Intouch View Nodes, field I/O, and supervisory layers.
* Document incident reports, technical changes, and system configurations in accordance with internal quality standards and audit requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Deep hands-on experience with Aveva System Platform (Galaxy design, template creation, object oriented development, deployment, redundancy, and failover scenarios).
* Strong understanding of Intouch HMI application development and troubleshooting in both standalone and distributed architectures.
* Proven capability in incident investigation and resolution, including root cause analysis in control system environments.
* Proficiency in Dutch or French preferred.
* Solid understanding of incident management workflows in line with ITIL/ITSM frameworks.
* Pharmaceutical industry experience is a must, including familiarity with GMP environments and compliance-driven processes.
* Familiarity with Siemens PLCs (S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500) and PCS 7 system structure — enough to understand system flow, interpret logic, and assist in diagnostics (programming knowledge not mandatory).
* Ability to work in on-site, shift-based support structure, providing coverage for production-critical systems.
* Exposure to ITIL Foundation certification or practical experience in ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy).
* Relevant certifications: Aveva Certified System Platform Developer, Siemens or PCS 7 training courses (advantageous).
* Experience working with process industries such as is a must Pharmaceutical, others as Biotechnology, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Energy, or Utilities are advantageous.
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Automation, Control Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
* Equivalent technical experience with relevant vendor training or certifications is also acceptable.
